| All IT exercises are very hands-on and geared toward
experiential learning. Our workshop facilitators lead the teams through a
variety of exercises, adapting to the specific needs and dynamics of the group
as they go. After each exercise there is a discussion period evaluating the
exercise and applying it to a bigger picture, with analogies drawn to day-to-day
situations. Following are some sample exercises... |

| |
| Clap Around |
| Participants face one another and attempt to clap hands at
exact same time as partner. The group activity becomes a game of passing around
a circle. |
| This is a simple exercise to break down inhibitions and get
the group in a rhythm working together. It draws physical analogies to what we
need to do to prepare to efficiently receive and transmit information, when each
individual’s part falls into a rhythm of the entire group. |

| Hula Hoop |
| Participants stand in a circle joining hands and attempt to
pass a hula hoop around the entire circle without breaking hand contact. |
| This is an exercise in teambuilding, working together,
taking direction, learning from others, verbal and non-verbal communication.
This exercise can go for up to four rounds; each round adds another challenge.
Participants learn to focus on what has gone before them and take an interest on
the project even after it is out of their hands. |
| |
| You Fruit Ball |
| Participants build up to four patterns which they attempt to
complete simultaneously. |
| This is an exercise in strengthening communication and
determining how breakdowns occur, and sharing responsibility of communicating
between the giver and the receiver. It emphasizes finding effective ways to get
a message across and multi-tasking. |
| |
| Pattern Circles |
| This is an exercise dealing with adapting to change and
commitment to following through. It teaches how to adjust to new people, new
environments, and certain difficulties in the workplace. |
